Privacy Policy

SutraSocial (sutrasocial.com) is a matrimonial service operated by QUANTPROC PRIVATE LIMITED, registered at Tower-F, 501, Godrej-101, Sector-79, Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana 122051, India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 that company is the Data Fiduciary for the information described below. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Profile details you enter: age, height, complexion, blood group, marital status, city, state, country and native place.
• Community and lineage: religion, caste, sub-community, gotra and maternal gotra, mool, mother tongue — or, for other faiths, sect, maslak, biradari, denomination or clan.
• Education and work: qualifications and institutions, profession, employer, and your annual income band.
• Lifestyle: diet, whether you drink or smoke, hobbies, and whether you own a house or car.
• Family: family type, status and values; your parents, siblings, siblings' spouses and grandparents — their names, ages, education, occupations and contact numbers.
• Contact details: mobile number, email, current and permanent address, PIN code, and whom you would like us to contact.
• Horoscope: date, time and place of birth, and Manglik status.
• Photograph. We strip location and camera metadata from every photo before storing it.
• Your partner preferences and the free-text descriptions you write. These are sealed — never shown to any other member.
• Identity verification: your verified name and address and a reference token from the KYC provider. We do not store your raw Aadhaar/PAN number.
• Account data: email and an encrypted (hashed) password.

How we use it

• To compute compatibility and show you mutual matches. Your preferences drive matching but are never revealed to others.
• Photos are hidden until a strong mutual match and both people consent to reveal them.
• Verification is used only to confirm you are a real person and keep out fake profiles.

Sharing

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Your profile is never shown to members of any other matrimonial service. QUANTPROC PRIVATE LIMITED operates this service on matrimonial software licensed from its provider, who processes data only on our instructions and never for its own purposes. Members registered with a different bureau are never matched with you and never see your profile.

Contact details are never exchanged between members. No phone number, email address, postal address or social media profile is ever shown to the other side of a match, at any compatibility score and at any consent level. Your family's contact details are held for our matchmakers alone. When two people are ready, we arrange the introduction ourselves.

Other members only ever see the public information you choose to share — never your preferences, essays, birth details, family members' names, or verification data.

How long we keep it

We keep your profile while your account is open. Delete it and everything above is removed from the live database immediately; copies in encrypted backups age out within 30 days. See Delete your account & data.

Where it is stored

On servers in Bengaluru, India. Data is not transferred outside India except to the verification, SMS and email providers needed to operate the service.

Your choices

You can edit your profile at any time. You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your data under the DPDP Act 2023. You may withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it — withdrawing it means we can no longer match you, so it closes your account. Children

This service is for adults of legal marriageable age only. We do not knowingly hold data about anyone under 18, and any such account is closed and erased when found.
